Hearts beating!

Tuesday, 8th May 2012

SPL side Hearts hosted their very first ever Tesco Bank Football Challenge Festival on Tuesday (8th May) at Tynecastle Stadium.

The Scottish Cup finalists opened their doors to 120 children from schools across west Edinburgh for a day to remember.

Led by Big Hearts CEO Alan White and a team of 38 volunteer coaches from Stevenson College, it was truly a day to remember.

Aussie defender Ryan McGowan and his team-mate David Templeton met the children as did first team coach Gary Locke.

Alan White said: "It was an absolutely brilliant day. The children had a fantastic time, as did the adults! The Tesco Bank Football Challenge is a very special programme and we're proud to be part of it."

Hearts has recently started delivering Tesco Bank Football Challenge fun to 21 schools in Edinburgh, as part of a big commitment to get involved in the project.
